Community

We show up for one another.

SYJ has always been about more than what happens on the mat. We believe practice extends into how we connect, contribute, and care for the community around us.

Seva, the practice of selfless service, is part of how we understand yoga. Throughout the year, we create opportunities for our community to give, participate, and put practice into action beyond the studio.

Access

Yoga belongs to everybody.

Our donation-based Community Classes are designed to make it easier for more people to practice at SYJ, regardless of what they can pay. These classes have long been part of our commitment to making yoga more accessible.

Rooted here.

Norwalk has been our home for more than two decades. We’re proud to partner with local organizations, businesses, schools, and community events in ways that bring people together and strengthen the community we call home.

SYJ supports Open Doors and its incredible work. Throughout the year, we come together for seasonal coat drives, food and toiletries collections, and other opportunities to support our neighbors and this important mission.

Voices

The people make SYJ.

Some have been here from the beginning. Others just found us. Every person who walks through the door becomes part of the story of SYJ.

Practice with us. Learn with us. Give with us. There’s always a place for you here.
